Biography
Associate Professor of Finance. Ph.D., Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Broughton teaches a variety of finance courses at the undergraduate 和 graduate levels. His research has appeared in leading finance journals such as the Journal of Business, Financial Review, Quarterly Journal of Business 和 Economics, Journal of Financial Services 研究, 和 Journal of Investing. He is the former Director of the Hoag Center for Real Estate 和 Finance 和 was Associate Dean of the Argyros School for eight years, during which time the school was reaccredited by AACSB 和 first recognized as a top 50 undergraduate business program by BusinessWeek magazine. He founded the student management investment fund in the Argyros School 和 was instrumental in the design 和 construction of the Janes Financial Center. Dr. Broughton received his CFA charter in 2007 和 has been a consultant to CFA Institute since 2010. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Broughton was an economist with the Institute for Water Resources, the Bureau of International Labor Affairs 和 Bell Atlantic Corporation.
